About TuneBit
TuneBit is a subscription-based Windows repair and optimization suite. The Settings page is where you can check your version, view your device ID, manage your license, and see basic app information.
- Pricing: $9.95 per year for up to 5 PCs (Personal), or $29.95 per year for unlimited PCs on a USB stick (Technician).
- Trial: 7-day free trial with full functionality.
- License: One seat per device; your license is tied to the Device ID described below.
Device ID
Your Device ID is a unique fingerprint computed from your motherboard's serial number. It looks something like A1B2-C3D4-E5F6-7890-1234-5678-9ABC-DEF0. This ID is what TuneBit uses to tie a license to a particular PC.
A few things to know about it:
- It doesn't change when you reinstall Windows — the motherboard is the same.
- It does change if you replace the motherboard. In that case, contact support to transfer your license.
- It's one-way hashed. Nobody can derive your hardware serial from the Device ID; it's only useful as a stable identifier.
Click the copy icon next to the Device ID to put it on the clipboard — support may ask for it to look up your license.
License
The License section shows:
- Whether you're on the free trial, an active subscription, or expired.
- When the subscription or trial ends.
- A button to enter a license key, renew, or manage billing.
If your trial is running out or your subscription has lapsed, this page is where you go to get back to a fully licensed state.
App Behavior
Start with Windows
Whether TuneBit launches automatically when you sign in. If you use the background services (Ransomware Shield, ShadowGuard, Scheduled Maintenance) you'll want this on so they're always running.
Check for Updates
Whether TuneBit automatically looks for newer versions on launch. Recommended on; updates include security fixes and new detection rules.
Send Anonymous Usage Data
Whether to share basic usage telemetry (which tools are used most, crash reports) back to help improve the product. No personally identifying information is collected. Off by default; opting in is appreciated but entirely your choice.
How to use it
- Click Settings in the sidebar (it's pinned to the bottom).
- Check the version number at the top if support asks for it.
- Copy the Device ID when activating or transferring a license.
- Toggle app-behavior options to match your preferences.
Getting help
If something isn't working as documented, the fastest path is usually:
- Generate a System Report (untick sensitive sections).
- Copy your Device ID from this page.
- Open a ticket at support.sullivantechnology.us with the report attached and a description of what you're seeing.
Moving to a new PC? Your Personal subscription covers up to 5 PCs. Install TuneBit on the new PC, start the trial, then open a ticket at
support.sullivantechnology.us with both Device IDs if you'd like the old install released early.
